Mandated by a Top 3 Global University, to the creation of new Board for a property vehicle.
We were appointed to identify a Chair of the Board whilst simultaneously developing suitable candidates for up to three external NED appointments. The process started with McLean working closely with the key client sponsor to develop a skills and experience matrix. This enabled us to develop a series of targeted searches around candidates with the attributes needed to oversee a property project of significant scale and complexity. We also assisted the client to select and “ready” three trustees to join the Board and represent the interests of the major shareholder.
Outcome: In just over three months, a Chair was appointed, two external NEDs were onboarded (with one further to follow) and three trustees had been signed up. The first formal Board meeting took place four weeks later.
